Lucas leaves Sunset for Findlay Prep
Landen Lucas, who would have been a junior at Sunset High School this fall, announced Tuesday that he was transferring to Findlay Prep, a basketball powerhouse that’s part of the Henderson International School in Henderson, Nev.
Lucas, a 6-foot-9 post, met with Findlay coach Michael Peck while attending the NBA Top 100 Camp and then received an official offer to attend Findlay this fall.
“This is an opportunity that I couldn't pass up,” Lucas said. As a sophomore, Lucas helped Sunset reach the Class 6A state tournament and place fourth, earning second team all-tournament honors and leading the 6A tourney in rebounding.
