WINNERS — The 14A Blaze-Kelly won six straight games to take its state tournament.

The Beaverton Blaze 14A softball team coached by Chris Kelly won the 14A state championship last weekend in Grants Pass, outscoring their opponents by a score of 58-3 in six straight victories.
The team’s game scores were: Blaze 3, Oregon Reign 0; Blaze 14, Medford Black Tornado 0; Blaze 12, Canby Wildcats 0; Blaze 10, Blaze Kellar 0; Blaze 6, Grants Pass 0; and Blaze 13, Hillsboro Thunder 3 (championship).
Team members are Sloan Anderson, Cayleigh Andress, Elizabeth Brenner, Ashley Garcia, Alyssa Gillespie, Kaitlin Inglesby, Hannah Johnson, Georgie Kelly, Jordan Kreiger, Amy Sheridan, Brieanne Vanderpool and Ashley Worthey, and coaches Chris Kelly, Wilbur Charters, Don Gillespie and Rob Ray.
The team’s record for this season is 58-3. The team has qualified for 14A ASA Nationals to be held in Normal, Ill., in early August.
