Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue paramedics provide aid to an 86-year-old woman who was injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road. The woman was listed in critical condition at OHSU.

An 86-year-old Raleigh Hills woman was injured Tuesday afternoon when she was struck by a car while trying to cross Southwest Scholls Ferry Road near Stephen Lane.

Washington County sheriff’s deputies said Marjorie Hubbard was taken to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital for treatment of several broken bones and other serious injures. She was listed in critical condition Tuesday evening.

Deputies said the accident happened at about 4:19 p.m. when Hubbard tried to walk across the two-lane road where there is no marked crosswalk. She was struck by a 2007 Mercedes Benz driven by 50-year-old Li Dai from West Linn.

Dai was driving about 30 mph west on Scholls Ferry Road facing the setting sun and she apparently did not see Hubbard, deputies said.

Scholls Ferry Road westbound was closed for a half hour during the investigation. No citations have been issued.
